Multicultural
Synergy: Building an Inclusive Community
(4-12
hour workshop)
- Through our Multicultural Synergy workshop you will discover how deepening your appreciation and understanding of diversity can create positive gains in the workplace, provide more resources for problem solving, and enrich your life. Research shows that when workplaces are diverse, vibrant, and committed to the full inclusion and participation of all members, there is overall higher productivity and employee satisfaction. Multicultural Synergy provides critical awareness, strategies and tools that can create more inclusive environments where “difference” moves from something to be managed to a positive and dynamic element that brings value and creates achievement.
Cultural
Competence in the Global Workplace
(3-6 hour workshop)
- Each day, we are becoming increasingly interconnected. To be effective in the 21st century, we all need to become more adept with intercultural skills and knowledge. How do we create inclusive and welcoming environments for clients and staff from diverse backgrounds? How do we use diversity to become better problem-solvers and team members? How do we understand cultural competence as a critical leadership skill? In this workshop, we'll examine ways that we can rethink and reinvent our roles to help lead our organizations into a global marketplace.

- Do you recognize the differences that separate us from one another but have no idea how to change things? Do you want to help to make your place of work or your community a better functioning and more welcoming environment? Do you want to be an agent of social change but simply don't know where to begin? The CatalystEncounter is a transformational learning experience. On this 3 to 6 day journey you will engage in powerful dialogues and gain the tools necessary to transform the communities in which you live. Our own consultant, Erin Crawford Cressy, attended this trip in 2004 and as a result dramatically altered the course of her career and her efforts of personal activism. Women's Leadership
Training
(4-32 hour workshop -
over the course of
several days)
- Women often struggle to name themselves as leaders. Skills and qualities such as compassion, collaboration, and active listening are associated with women and are not valued as leadership skills in our culture. This workshop embraces the leadership inherent in every woman and addresses internal and external barriers to women's leadership. In addition, important barriers such as race and class are discussed and women representing a variety of differences are brought together to build community and address the issues that keep us isolated and detached from one another. Retreat

- Experience the power of a diversity or leadership workshop in a relaxing setting away from the stress of every-day life. Key training exercises will be covered with a more in-depth focus on the processes of dialoging and building relationships.
